“We stayed for two weeks with our child and have wonderful memories to cherish. The house condition is identical to the photos and the surrounding infrastructure is really great. We could walk to all the restaurants, and it was a space where our child, who is just learning to walk, could run around excitedly. We are grateful to the owner and recommend this as a great accommodation that we would like to visit again next time!”

“I had a wonderful 3-night, 4-day trip to Gangneung. It was a family trip after a long time, and thanks to the comfortable home and kind host, we created precious memories. We had dinner at nearby restaurants every evening, and it was great to enjoy a variety of foods such as mulhoe, dak-galbi, and dwaeji-galbi. I visited Gangmun Beach three times - in the morning, afternoon, and at night - and each time I saw different seascapes, so I felt a new experience every time. The trip was even more special because we were able to experience local restaurants that our family loves.”

This single-bedroom house in Chodang-dong trades central urban proximity for a quieter residential pace at a standard district rate. It makes a practical base for a solo traveler or couple looking to explore the coastal neighborhood without city-center noise.
“The infrastructure is really great. There's a cafe and convenience store right in front of the accommodation, which was perfect for working while traveling. I could catch the bus to Jung-ang Market right outside as well. I mostly walked around the alley in Chosang-dong where restaurants are clustered and went to Gangmun Beach. I could even walk to Gallery Babs, the hottest spot in Gangneung, so I did an early opening run and didn't have to wait long to eat. I also took walks on a course that connects Heoggyun Heonan-seolheon Park and Gyeongpo Lake. It's in a really great location for people traveling on foot. The interior design matches the photos exactly, it's clean, and it has a nice scent. It would be nice for two people to stay here too. I highly recommend it to anyone coming to Gangneung for a trip on foot 👍”

LiveAnywhere is Korea's favorite short-term and vacation rental platform, built for extended stays of one week to six months. From trendy studios in Seoul to relaxing beach houses in Jeju, every home comes fully furnished and can be booked in minutes through the LiveAnywhere app.
It works much like Airbnb, but with a structure designed for longer visits: competitive weekly and monthly rates instead of nightly pricing, no repeated cleaning fees, and utilities included in your payment. That's why an extended stay in Korea through LiveAnywhere often costs noticeably less than booking the same period on a nightly platform.
Some listings include a small security deposit, far smaller than the large lump-sum deposits required by traditional Korean leases. Your deposit is held securely in escrow by LiveAnywhere, not by the host. After checkout, the host checks the property, and once they confirm there are no issues, your deposit is refunded within a maximum of 5 business days.
Looking for an Airbnb alternative in Gangreung? LiveAnywhere is built specifically for stays of a week or longer, with pricing that reflects that.
