“The host welcomed us very kindly, making our stay very comfortable. The house was clean and well-organized, and the ocean view from the 26th floor was absolutely stunning, which put me in a great mood every day. The value for money was excellent too—I was very satisfied with this price for a place with such facilities. Most importantly, the express bus terminal and convenience store were nearby, making public transportation very convenient. Sokcho Beach is also within walking distance, so it's great for taking walks, and there are many delicious restaurants in the area, so it's definitely a place I would recommend.”

Daepo Port is also close by on foot, and there are many delicious restaurants like raw fish, kalguksu, and cafes. The accommodation is clean and great for two people to stay in, and the communication with the host is good, so we used it comfortably and went home.”

“The host was very kind and attentive, making my stay comfortable throughout. The place has almost all the kitchenware and household items you could need, plus a refrigerator and washing machine, so daily life was very convenient. It's near the beach with a walking path right there, and the surrounding environment is really nice. The big advantage is being able to go swimming in the sea in your swimsuit and then come back to the accommodation to shower - the distance to the sea is close, making it really convenient to travel with kids. There's a convenience store and café on the first floor, so it was convenient to buy necessities and have coffee. Free parking in the building meant I didn't have to worry about parking, and all of Sokcho's famous tourist attractions are nearby, making it easy to get around. I was able to spend 2 weeks comfortably with my 8-year-old child. It exceeded expectations in every way! Next time I visit Sokcho, I'd love to come back here.”

“The best long-term accommodation in Mukho. The biggest advantage is that it's a newly built residence. With three elevators, a 24-hour convenience store, a gym, and parking available up to the 4th basement level, it has the best infrastructure. The interior carefully arranged by the host is also great. The toaster works really well. It's a 10-minute drive from Mukho, and in between is a railway beach park where you can go running, driving, and take photos. Around the accommodation, there's an E-mart, McDonald's, a food mart, and a fairly large commercial area, and across the street is Hansem Beach (photo above), so camping is also possible. I think it has the best infrastructure. There's also a 24-hour haejangguk (hangover soup) restaurant nearby, so you can have haejangguk in the early morning or late-night snacks. Although it's a 1.5-room, the space is divided so 4 people can live comfortably. In reality, you probably won't spend much time inside the accommodation, but the extra bedding is comfortable and ** is well-stocked. Individual air conditioning and washing machine ** were well taken care of, etc... there's really nothing to complain about. We were lucky to visit during a newly created holiday at a great price. Thank you! I want to visit again!”

Housed in a modern residence building in Hyeonnam-myeon, this one-bedroom setup offers a straightforward coastal retreat with easy access to the local surf spots. It is a solid setup for a solo traveler or couple planning a longer seaside stay in Yangyang-gun.
“This was a solo trip I took after ending 30 years of childcare, and from the moment I arrived, seeing the homemade jam and bread in the refrigerator, I felt like I had received a truly warm welcome. The accommodation lacked absolutely nothing for the entire two weeks, and I was deeply touched by the host's thoughtfulness. I leave feeling that the sunrise I watched from the veranda every morning and the runs along the coast were gifts from a life lived in a whirlwind. Just in case, I booked accommodations for two weeks in Yangyang and two weeks in Sokcho, and I will definitely contact you again if I travel to the East Coast in the future. I had a wonderful two weeks of rest~^^”
LiveAnywhere is Korea's favorite short-term and vacation rental platform, built for extended stays of one week to six months. From trendy studios in Seoul to relaxing beach houses in Jeju, every home comes fully furnished and can be booked in minutes through the LiveAnywhere app.
It works much like Airbnb, but with a structure designed for longer visits: competitive weekly and monthly rates instead of nightly pricing, no repeated cleaning fees, and utilities included in your payment. That's why an extended stay in Korea through LiveAnywhere often costs noticeably less than booking the same period on a nightly platform.
Some listings include a small security deposit, far smaller than the large lump-sum deposits required by traditional Korean leases. Your deposit is held securely in escrow by LiveAnywhere, not by the host. After checkout, the host checks the property, and once they confirm there are no issues, your deposit is refunded within a maximum of 5 business days.
For an extended stay in Gangwon, LiveAnywhere works as a straightforward Airbnb alternative: rates are set for week-plus bookings rather than nightly stays, so costs come out lower over time.
