“Although the house is located quite far into Ganghwado, that was actually an advantage. It was convenient as it wasn't far to travel to Gyeodongdo or Seokmoddo, and we could see the sunset over the West Sea from the house. The front lawn was directly connected, making it great for children to run around, and it was convenient for shopping as it was close to Oepohang by car. There were also good Italian restaurants nearby like a bread specialty shop, Seokmo Road Food Cafe, and Osteria Fontana, making daily life convenient. While other areas were crowded during the holidays, Ganghwado wasn't too busy but had plenty of things to enjoy. Within a 30-minute drive, there's Minmeoru Beach and Dongmak Beach where you can experience mudflat activities, and Gyeodongdo was great for island tours by renting bicycles. My father-in-law and mother-in-law who came with us were also very satisfied. It was truly a wonderful trip that we thoroughly enjoyed.”

“The interior of the house is clean and well-decorated, and the owner is very kind. When you contact them, they usually respond within 10 minutes. It's also nice that there's a Daiso nearby where you can purchase necessary items. However, since it's on the 4th floor, moving luggage can be somewhat difficult. It's definitely usable if you're in good physical condition. One downside is the bedding and WiFi issue. Since there's no large mart nearby, it's difficult to purchase bedding (Daiso doesn't have it). I recommend it for those using unlimited data plans or those who don't necessarily need WiFi. Oh, and you can occasionally hear siren sounds.”

“The host was very kind and responded quickly, which was great. Frequently Asked Questions

What is LiveAnywhere?

LiveAnywhere is Korea's favorite short-term and vacation rental platform, built for extended stays of one week to six months. From trendy studios in Seoul to relaxing beach houses in Jeju, every home comes fully furnished and can be booked in minutes through the LiveAnywhere app.

It works much like Airbnb, but with a structure designed for longer visits: competitive weekly and monthly rates instead of nightly pricing, no repeated cleaning fees, and utilities included in your payment. That's why an extended stay in Korea through LiveAnywhere often costs noticeably less than booking the same period on a nightly platform.

Some listings show a deposit. What is it, and do I get it back?

Some listings include a small security deposit, far smaller than the large lump-sum deposits required by traditional Korean leases. Your deposit is held securely in escrow by LiveAnywhere, not by the host. After checkout, the host checks the property, and once they confirm there are no issues, your deposit is refunded within a maximum of 5 business days.
