“It was a wonderful place with a really great view right in front of the sea~I had a great 3-week stay. If I have a reason to come back to Gangneung for a long time, I definitely want to visit again~ I got by without a car, and there were several restaurants nearby, so it was very convenient~ My child enjoyed the beach to their heart's content ㅋㅋㅋ It was convenient that there was a city bus stop near the beach. However, the bus stop to go into Gangneung city takes about 15 minutes to walk~ The host was kind and responded quickly, which was great. Since I have a child, I cooked a lot at home, and most of the necessary items were available, which was good. However, items like pots, frying pans, and rice cookers were quite old with chipped coatings or felt outdated, which was a bit disappointing~And there were no seasonings, so that was a bit...Probably not many people come all the way here to cook and eat, so it should be fine to just buy simple things and eat them without any inconvenience~ The cleaning didn't feel thoroughly clean, so that was also a bit disappointing, but the view from the house and the location were really the best. Overall, it was a really satisfying accommodation. Thank you^^”

“I'm really sensitive, so I bring my own blanket when I travel. But I decided to stay here after seeing the owner on the guide that he is also sensitive to cleanliness and cleans really well! I was hesitant before going, but as soon as I entered, it was a very clean house with a nice scent. All the furniture was floating off the floor, so there wasn't a single speck of dust under the bed or sofa!! And the welcome gift they gave me was so touching. I was worried because I was living with a 5-month-old baby for a month, but the baby adapted well and I had all the basic household items, so I had a very comfortable stay. And the restaurants and cafes the owner told me about were all delicious, and the coffee smelled so good! I was so grateful for the care he gave me until the end, telling me to be careful and get back home. ❤️ If I ever come to Gangwon-do again, this is a place I want to stay again. I highly recommend it!!”

“My first time living in Gangneung for two months! First of all, it is a high-rise building located on the edge of the gel side, so there is almost no noise from the neighbors or between floors, and the view of Yeongjin Beach from the terrace is really great, and I was so happy to be able to greet the sunrise of the East Sea every morning from the terrace. The interior, props, furniture, and living supplies are all high-end products, and everything is neatly and newly equipped, so I felt like I was starting my married life again thanks to the host's unique sense and meticulous consideration, so I was so excited and happy^^ The underground parking lot is also spacious, and in addition to Yeongjin Beach, there is a pine forest path nearby that is good for walking, and there is a Nonghyup Hanaro Mart nearby, so it was convenient to go shopping for various groceries and get delivery. I have a lot of regrets because two months have passed so quickly, but it was still a happy time to spend comfortably as if it were my own home, make many precious memories, and spend beautiful times that I can talk about for the rest of my life. Thank you again for creating this connection! It's a very nice accommodation that I would like to visit again later to make more memories while looking at the winter sea.”

LiveAnywhere is Korea's favorite short-term and vacation rental platform, built for extended stays of one week to six months. From trendy studios in Seoul to relaxing beach houses in Jeju, every home comes fully furnished and can be booked in minutes through the LiveAnywhere app.
It works much like Airbnb, but with a structure designed for longer visits: competitive weekly and monthly rates instead of nightly pricing, no repeated cleaning fees, and utilities included in your payment. That's why an extended stay in Korea through LiveAnywhere often costs noticeably less than booking the same period on a nightly platform.
Some listings include a small security deposit, far smaller than the large lump-sum deposits required by traditional Korean leases. Your deposit is held securely in escrow by LiveAnywhere, not by the host. After checkout, the host checks the property, and once they confirm there are no issues, your deposit is refunded within a maximum of 5 business days.
LiveAnywhere works well as an Airbnb alternative for anyone staying near Yeongjin Beach for a week or more.
