Whenever I think back on my month-long stay in Jeju, the accommodation on the west side is the one that comes to mind most fondly haha.
I will never forget Shimpyo Stay.
I started my month-long stay with a schedule of 15 days on the east side and 15 days on the west side.
My itinerary involved spending 15 days on the east side before moving to the accommodation on the west side~
To start with the conclusion, Gosan-ri is the best~~!!!
I rested so well, and I will definitely visit again💕💕
When we first arrived, my mom said it was the first time she had ever seen a place with a complete set of flower-patterned dishes haha.
She loved it so much haha.
The dishes were seriously haha.
It really made me feel like I was being treated like royalty haha.
They are pretty, but there are parts that are inconvenient to use, especially haha (because of this, my mom said the host must be a man🤣🤣).
But it really seemed like they paid meticulous attention to detail!!!
(You know there was even a Hangang Ramen machine set up in the annex? Awesome lol. I just can't resist Hangang Ramen~~!!)
At home, I only use a dishwasher... but I did so much dishwashing in Jeju... because I couldn't make my mom, whose hands hurt, do it😭
Even so, I liked everything because the dishes were pretty, even though they were inconvenient~
When I signed the contract, I was a little worried about heating or hot water...
But there were absolutely no problems. In fact, the sunlight was so strong and warm (so hot) during the day that I actually wanted to open the windows...
But there were no insect screensㅜㅜ
Still, since it wasn't buggy weather yet, I just left them open intermittently and had a great time☺☺
Also, I didn't want to worry about parking while living in Jeju, but you know there might be places where even detached houses don't have parking?
Here, you can just park in the yard or next to the wall, so I was seriously so free!!!!
It was nice that the outside was kept clean and well-maintained. At night, the stars and moon were clearly visible, so I woke up early in the morning to look at the sky haha.
In the morning and during the day, birds and cats would come by too haha. It was great haha.
If I had to pick one inconvenience, it would be that the bathroom wasn't heated, so it was a bit humid... I ordered a dehumidifier from Coupang, so it was a bit inconvenient for the two days it took to arrive. After that, I used a mop squeegee (?) and brought a fan heater with me, so I turned that on often.
That immediately resolved the inconvenience 😁😁.
There was a dehumidifier inside the accommodation... I didn't try operating it myself so I'm not sure, but if it works well, I think you could just turn it on in the bathroom~~
If I hadn't had my fan heater, I think I would have done the same haha.
Also, I tried all the restaurants the host recommended haha.
Panpo Burger, Geumjamae, and Umblang were the best 👍
I went to all of them twice~~~!!!
And although they are a bit far, Jeju Ildo is on the east side and Donsadon is on the west side!!! It was so delicious!!!!
Also, there is a young middle-aged couple living right in front of the place who are so kind haha. They even shared some pickled bracken and dongchimi with me; they are such wonderful people haha. I actually wanted to move into their house!🤣🤣
There isn't much to see at the nearby Moslpo Market... If you want to go to a market, go to Dongmun or Olle instead🤣🤣
The west side was also great for just staring at the sea while driving along the coastal road toward Chagwido haha. The sight of people fishing looked amazing against the sunset haha. The palm trees near Hyeopjae were really stunning, so I went there often haha. It was a shame I didn't get to see any dolphins though ㅜㅜ
The 15 days passed by so quickly💕
I couldn't get over the lingering feelings from my month-long stay, so my review is late😭
I would like to thank the host for the wonderful house share, and with that, I will end this long post☺☺
