This is a review of a one-month stay.
- It is a charming, quiet, and pretty village. A neighbor gave us a bouquet of tangerines, showed us the view of Hallasan Mountain from the rooftop, and gifted us the experience of picking a lot of them. We have wonderful neighbors. I was deeply impressed to see them working hard on their farm every day, even though they are in their mid-80s. During a morning walk, another neighbor, who was busy picking tangerines, readily gave some delicious ones to my child.
- The well-maintained yard is beautiful, laden with summer tangerine trees. You can see a glimpse of Sanbangsan Mountain behind the house, and since there is a table in the yard, it is perfect for enjoying a cup of tea while listening to birdsong every morning on sunny days. The pampas grass visible from each room is lovely, and the lawn is neatly mowed. Honestly, the yard was 80% of the reason for choosing this accommodation, and my parents liked it just as much as the kitchen.
- Necessary amenities such as garbage bags, bottled water, and towels are plentifully provided, and the owner makes every effort to resolve any requests. I could feel the owner's thoughtfulness through the snacks they provided from time to time.
- - It features the structure of a traditional Jeju Gotaek, with the kitchen facing the courtyard. Now that it is used as accommodation, you must wear slippers in the bathroom and pass through the utility room to reach the kitchen at the very end. Since you have to wear bathroom slippers to get around the kitchen, it can be a bit difficult to care for a baby who can't walk yet, but it was interesting for children, and the kitchen is pretty. You cannot eat or store food in the bedrooms, and since there is no separate living room, gathering in the kitchen to chat and eat together will likely become a cherished memory. The laundry room is located separately outside and has a large clothes drying rack.
- The bathroom is equipped with a dehumidifier, fan, shower curtain, and air freshener, but careful humidity management is required. As a country house remodeled from an old traditional residence surrounded by nature and soil, it seems to be a better fit for those who are tolerant of insects. It was convenient to have shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and soap provided.
A perfect home to experience authentic Jeju rural life!
