I began my first-term stay in Jeju on February 13th. My sole purpose was to rehabilitate my wife, who had back surgery last summer, and to recover the muscle strength that was weakening at the age of 67. I selected a location that could serve as a training camp and moved in. My goal was to walk over 10km of forest trails in Seogwipo every day and make time to ride my MTB. Fortunately, ******** was in the perfect location. Since I could easily and quickly reach anywhere from Seogwipo Recreational Forest to Seongpanak, I was never pressed for time and could walk through lush green forests and hills to my heart's content, even in winter. I also rode my bike from the pension, down to Gongcheonpo, through Huairi, and up the long climb to the entrance of Isungak Oreum to my heart's content. It was an optimal and truly safe course for strengthening my thighs and enjoying speed. Finished with red clay and cedar walls, I slept soundly without any noise or drafts. By evening, I was able to recover my exhausted body with about 10 hours of deep sleep. In particular, the infant-friendly interior made it very pleasant to stay there. I already miss the dinner at a local restaurant that the guesthouse owner treated me to once. I was also able to share a soju-beer mix with the owner, who is a fitness enthusiast running over 10 kilometers every day, even though he will soon be turning eighty. Of course, since I walked for over 30 minutes to get there and back, I digested it completely before going to sleep, and there was no way I would have had a hangover. On my way back to Seoul, I got off at Goheung Nokdong Port, stayed overnight at Palyeongsan Recreational Forest, and climbed Jeokchwibong Peak on Palyeongsan for about an hour the next morning; it felt great. It was because I confirmed that my body had been completely refreshed.
If you are planning to stay for a month as a form of training during the winter when exercise levels tend to drop, I highly recommend "******"—it is beautiful and offers the best value for money. You don't need to worry about the minor details. You will understand once you visit.
