📐 26 m² (285 sq ft) · 🛏️ 1BR · 🚗 parking
Set in Chunghyo-dong, this one-bedroom apartment trades central tourist proximity for a noticeably lower price than typical district listings. It is a practical budget pick for a solo remote worker or researcher wanting a quiet base in Gyeongju-si.
“1. Transportation is excellent and safe. While Korea has a good reputation for public safety, there are still times when women traveling alone can feel a bit unsafe. This is a typical bedroom community, so there are plenty of buses (most parts of Gyeongju can be reached by bus). Even after sunset, many people stroll, making it perfectly safe. There are also plenty of convenience stores, restaurants, supermarkets, and cafes. 2. This is a personal preference, but I value walking. There's a deck built along a small stream near my accommodation, and if you follow the deck, you'll reach Kim Yu-sin's Tomb (Heungmu Park). It's an ecological stream, so it's clean and great for a stroll. 3. I stayed alone, but it seems more than enough for two. I had no problems. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Gyeongju.”
📐 112 m² (1,210 sq ft) · 🛏️ 3BR · 🚿 2BA · 🚗 parking
Set within the quiet residential pocket of Amnyang-eup, this three-bedroom apartment offers a peaceful escape from the busier hubs of Gyeongsan-si. It makes a practical home base for a remote working team or family looking for a multi-room setup.
“I stayed comfortably for almost three months. The accommodation is located near the Yeongnam University alumni gate, within walking distance of the school, and there is a reservoir nearby that is good for a walk. It is a good place to rest quietly, and it is a first-class apartment, so the security is good. There are no curtains in the room, so if you are sensitive to light at night, it is a good idea to buy blackout curtains from the nearby Daiso and use them. There is a large mart next to the food mart and Gyeongsan Fire Station, and there are many restaurants, so it is convenient for cooking or eating out.”

LiveAnywhere is Korea's favorite short-term and vacation rental platform, built for extended stays of one week to six months. From trendy studios in Seoul to relaxing beach houses in Jeju, every home comes fully furnished and can be booked in minutes through the LiveAnywhere app.
It works much like Airbnb, but with a structure designed for longer visits: competitive weekly and monthly rates instead of nightly pricing, no repeated cleaning fees, and utilities included in your payment. That's why an extended stay in Korea through LiveAnywhere often costs noticeably less than booking the same period on a nightly platform.
Some listings include a small security deposit, far smaller than the large lump-sum deposits required by traditional Korean leases. Your deposit is held securely in escrow by LiveAnywhere, not by the host. After checkout, the host checks the property, and once they confirm there are no issues, your deposit is refunded within a maximum of 5 business days.
For an extended stay in Gyeongsangbuk-do, LiveAnywhere works as a straightforward Airbnb alternative: rates are set for week-plus bookings rather than nightly stays, so costs come out lower over time. You also skip repeated cleaning fees, utilities are included in the price, and hosts are verified and legally operating.
