“I'm settling down in Sokcho next year, so I'm looking for a place to stay. I came here to stay for a month. I stayed at Rama X Hotel for five days and then booked here for six, but I wish I'd just stayed here for the whole month. First of all, the interior of the place and the view from the window are exactly like the pictures. It's a high-rise, so you can see Sokcho Beach and Cheongcho Lake at a glance. It's cleaner and quieter than a hotel. There's an E-Mart, Daiso, Mega Coffee, Subway, and more within a three-minute walk. Wow, I come to Sokcho every year, and I just found out there's a place like this. I have to go back to the hotel I booked next week, but I don't want to go. I'm planning to stay here again for about two weeks in the winter. The host was so kind, and there was nothing I didn't like. It's a shame I can't attach any pictures. It rained heavily the second day, and watching the rain fall while lying in bed was no joke. The night view was also amazing.”

The host was incredibly friendly, always responding to requests promptly. Thanks to him, I had a wonderful week of rest.”

“This was my first time staying in Gangwon-do for two weeks. I discovered this place by chance through a search and decided to book it. I wanted a detached house and loved it, but unfortunately the dates didn't work out, so I stayed for 7 nights and was very satisfied. The area around the house was quiet and the house was clean. Unlike the photos on the site, there was a dryer (brand new) and a large TV. I was worried about parking, but there were no issues. There were no convenient facilities around the accommodation, so I had to drive to get around, but I had a nice and quiet rest.”
LiveAnywhere is Korea's favorite short-term and vacation rental platform, built for extended stays of one week to six months. From trendy studios in Seoul to relaxing beach houses in Jeju, every home comes fully furnished and can be booked in minutes through the LiveAnywhere app.
It works much like Airbnb, but with a structure designed for longer visits: competitive weekly and monthly rates instead of nightly pricing, no repeated cleaning fees, and utilities included in your payment. That's why an extended stay in Korea through LiveAnywhere often costs noticeably less than booking the same period on a nightly platform.
Some listings include a small security deposit, far smaller than the large lump-sum deposits required by traditional Korean leases. Your deposit is held securely in escrow by LiveAnywhere, not by the host. After checkout, the host checks the property, and once they confirm there are no issues, your deposit is refunded within a maximum of 5 business days.
LiveAnywhere works well as an Airbnb alternative for anyone staying in Sokcho for a week or more. Rates are structured for longer bookings, not nightly stays, which usually works out cheaper than a night-by-night platform. There are no repeated cleaning fees, utilities are included, and hosts are verified and legally operating.
