“This is a review of my month-long stay from early July to mid-August 2026. First, my essential requirements were a large family-friendly space, snorkeling opportunities for the kids, and a grassy lawn to play on. All of these conditions were met. Here are my honest pros and cons~ Pros: 1. Our family of five mainly stayed in the main house, and there's plenty of space even when relatives visit. Especially the separate annex (bedroom, small living room, bathroom) was greatly appreciated by my parents. 2. Very private. 3. Within a 20-minute drive to various East Coast attractions: Woljeong-ri, Gimnyeong, Pyeongdae, Conan, Sehwa, Seongsan, Pyoseon, etc. (The kids became snorkeling masters. The cafe recommended by the host was the best.) 4. It has the comfort of a lived-in home (bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, etc. with convenient layout and amenities), and there's nothing lacking for daily living. It's truly a place where the host actually stays. Cons: There are some insects and bugs due to the trees and forest surroundings. This seems unavoidable, but the interior is clean and pest control is thorough. Personally, I give it a perfect score. During the month, both sets of grandparents visited and were satisfied, and my wife and daughters all gave it perfect scores too^^ My month-long stay has ended, but I hope this review helps anyone who is considering it. I also hope for another opportunity like this.^^ Lastly, I miss the half-bath so much~^^”
LiveAnywhere is Korea's favorite short-term and vacation rental platform, built for extended stays of one week to six months. From trendy studios in Seoul to relaxing beach houses in Jeju, every home comes fully furnished and can be booked in minutes through the LiveAnywhere app.
It works much like Airbnb, but with a structure designed for longer visits: competitive weekly and monthly rates instead of nightly pricing, no repeated cleaning fees, and utilities included in your payment. That's why an extended stay in Korea through LiveAnywhere often costs noticeably less than booking the same period on a nightly platform.
Some listings include a small security deposit, far smaller than the large lump-sum deposits required by traditional Korean leases. Your deposit is held securely in escrow by LiveAnywhere, not by the host. After checkout, the host checks the property, and once they confirm there are no issues, your deposit is refunded within a maximum of 5 business days.
Looking for an Airbnb alternative in Jeju? LiveAnywhere is built specifically for stays of a week or longer, with pricing that reflects that. No Korean guarantor is required to book a stay in Jeju on LiveAnywhere. That's built into how the platform works, so you can complete the entire booking online without needing someone to co-sign.
